Saw Hi Im Tony ... :) This status is for the people who messaged me for the review.... first of all dont ask me whether its a copy of any Hollywood films.. I dont know it because I dont watch those much. This is what I felt .. Hi Im Tony started off well.. its labeled as a psychological thriller, in that way this film might be good to some of you. Tony after covering about a 30 - 40 minutes.. you might feel lag but you will not take off your eyes from screen because of the curiosity the film creates. The whole film is made in a Hollywood style but the story is not upto the mark. Lal, is apt as tony and he excelled as tony.. Asif ali performed well and he has gained more perfection in his acting. Now I should say the heroine Mia George .. she may be the only female artist presently in Malayalam who knows to act and perform well. She excelled in her role . Tony is perfect in making wise .. well directed , Excellent DOP, Awesome BGMs..now the art direction..usually we feel much uneasy when a films major scenes are shot only in a single room or in interior space..But the art direction is perfect and we dont get bored seeing the walls of the flat or any interior ,even though more than half of scenes are inside the flat which was artificially crafted by the art direction team.. and ofcourse the film has realistic and brilliant fight scenes but what makes it down is the story line which resembles a block buster Malayalam film.but then too not perfect.., the people who enjoy psycho thrillers might feel good sometimes..Tonys questions to Sameer created laughs in theatres you cannot get an answer for the question WHO IS TONY.. anyway this film is a good experiment in Malayalam, but I should say... as per the theater response this film will suffer long to exist. Watch it for the performance of the cast and also for the technical departments!! (y)
