Saw Interstellar. And I cannot believe this, but I annoyingly did not like it! While it was intriguing, and had a lot to be admired, such as Hans Zimmers beautiful score, and the cinematography as well, etc. it was also waay too complex and confusing and thus became alas a huge, colossal disappointment. What was supposed to be an amazing, enjoyable event became nothing more than a 2001: A Space Odyssey wannabe complete with a wasted ensemble of great stars, with only Matthew McConaughey managing to shine, and a bunch of space and time travel jargon that maybe only David Lynch or Richard Kelly (Director of Donnie Darko) would love and understand. While film maker Christopher Nolan should be commended for being able to come up with something so original and large-scale and make it in a span of 2 years, as a follow-up to his greatest achievement to cinema The Dark Knight Rises (screw you haters it is, Im in a bad mood also so let me have this! ! !) it was a massive and yes even dull and laborious exercise, and its because of these reasons that Interstellar has to be sadly the most disappointing film of the year. WTF!? Why Christopher Nolan? Why? Interstellar: * * 1/2
