Saw a post at Pali Puka on a hiking page and noticed graffiti on - TopicsExpress

Saw a post at Pali Puka on a hiking page and noticed graffiti on the rock. Its a real shame that I have to use eagle eyes and always be on the lookout for it. Weve learned the hard way that there are two options with nature tagging. Clean it fast and significantly reduce re-tagging, or do nothing and it gets worse very fast (Pride Rock). Its also a shame that Im pleasantly surprised when I go on a hike NOT to find litter and graffiti. Make no mistake, this will be a long term process to turn back the lack of respect for the environment. We need EVERYONE to help participate in outreach and fieldwork in some capacity or another. Well be doing everything in our power to provide the tools and the training. Its not your job to clean up after people. It shouldnt be ANYONES job to remove the litter and nature graffiti of others. Yet until we reach the tipping point where better practices prevail, we need leaders, YOU, to get us there. The good news is the new 3M rotary stripper attachment along with biodegradable lifter made this a 5 minute cleanup. Happy Aloha Friday everyone.
