Saw a post that read Never bring old problems into new relationships. I know what they mean. Its a good idea. But really who can never do that? Its a rule that none of us can keep. Its mans wisdom, carnality, his self effort, him eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil to produce problem-free relationships. Leads to condemnation and guilt trips for everyone involved. But then again, GOD did that for all humanity in CHRIST JESUS. The old man (the first Adam, carnality, law, flesh man) was put to death, crucified and buried with JESUS. A new man the Last Adam the resurrected JESUS was raised from the dead and seated (us, too) in the GODhead in this new man CHRIST (Spirit). This is a new relationship in the GODhead in that never before was the resurrected CHRIST seated in the GOD and us in HIM. CHRIST every mans identity. His finished work on the CROSS. GODs grace to all! Working to never bring old problems into new relationships will kill you, now, That old way of life (flesh, law, rulekeeping to produce GODs quality of life) that was against us, was nailed to the CROSS. Believing CHRIST, who is Gods Word about you, is eternal life, Gods quality of life and logic given to you freely, now. Man cant do whats in that quote. But GOD did in CHRIST! For nothing is impossible with GOD! Anyway, GOD says And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28). HIS promise. All things includes old problems. Amen!
