Saw first song on here when I came home from work one Sat. early evening back in `72. I was making supper with my hands busy making burgers, and waiting for tv to warm up (remember those days, some of you?). I thought God was punishing me when lo and behold the Lawrence Welk show came on, and I was helpless to change it at that time. I caught this part of the show just in time. God was actually rewarding me, and making my day. I couldn`t believe the song I was about to hear on that particular show. You won`t either. Notice the supposed dry throat that the announcer all of a sudden seems to have before it`s start. He might have been the only one on that show to actually be hip enough to understand what some of the lyrics were actually about! I added a little bonus video of the same tv show that is a Velvet Underground rocker overdubbed to the Lawrence Welk Orchestra. I think you`ll find it to also be a hoot! Enjoy folks...
