Saw some people claiming that despite what Israel did, it would be better if they had the upper hand because god knows what Hamas would do to the Israelis if it had the upper hand instead. That is a possibly valid observation, but the fact of the matter is that one had to question what are the circumstances that led to the creation of radical militant groups such as Hamas, Al Queda and ISIS, whose reign few would love to live under. (Most of these groups history could be traced back to the start of the erosion of the power of the Ottoman Empire and the colonization of the Middle East and India). So the question is whether Hamas could have existed without Israel and its supporters.
