Saw this on a friends wall. One of my friends friends lives in Israel, and has been talking about the number of rockets coming out of Gaza. On the day of the post Ive copied, there had been some 200 rocket attacks, and in her town sirens had gone off twice and she had been in the bomb shelter twice for the day. Of course, people gave their platitudes and sympathy. Her response chilled me: I think this will get better soon..The soldiers are fighting hard inside Gaza trying to make an end to all this.. While the world watches and interprets these events as genocide, Israelis see it as salvation. And on reflection, why wouldnt they? Irrespective of the low death toll, they are shelled on a daily basis from Gaza. Nobody should have to live in fear of constant bombardment...
