Saw this on • ϟ Lily ϟ •s page: I really hope Taylor Swift is able to settle down and get married in the future. Not because shell stop writing about heartbreaks, but because after everything, she really deserves a happy ending. My thoughts: YES. SO much yes. I honestly dont understand why the media portrays Taylor Swift as some kind of joke - a girl hopping from one guy to another and writing songs about her relationships. First off, she may be a celebrity, but shes also a regular person. It must hurt to read comments about yourself like that. Being the insecure person that I am, reading one negative comment about myself or my family/friends can keep me awake at night for hours - to simply put it, it hurts. It hurts a lot. If you dont like her, so be it. You have every right to have your own opinion; but always think before you act and say something you cant take back. I personally really look up to Taylor. Her songs have been so helpful and have been almost a rock in some of the difficult times in my life. And I think thats why she writes them - so that people can relate. I mean, really; if you think about it - /one/ person cant go through /all of that/. Her songs dont necessarily have to pertain to her life and her relationships - she could be writing them for her family or her friends; or simply for her fans to relate to. If you ignore all the negative stuff the media says about her (because face it, the media will always be the media - they need bold headlines to make people turn their heads and stare; and theyre bound to be making stuff up just to get more hits/reads), shes actually a really down-to-earth, smart and beautiful person - inside and out. She genuinely cares about her fans; and shes one of the celebs Im proud to be a fan of. I didnt write this post to bash on the people who hate on her - that isnt my intention at all. Im simply expressing my opinion, and trying to be civil whilst doing so. I guess my point is; dont judge a book by its cover. Everything you read/see about Taylor is not necessarily true - remember theres a part of her you dont know; a part that isnt seen or noticed by the public. Shes a person, just like you and me, and she deserves some kind of respect. Rant of the day: done *whew*
