Say hello to Novembers Pet of the Month, Baxter! From Baxters parents: Baxter is a two year old collie mix with lots of brains and heart. When we were looking to adopt, we went to the SPCA to meet another dog but fell in love with a 5 lb black and white puppy named Baxter. Right after Baxter joined our family, Dad went on a week long trip and Mom had to deal with an un-house trained 2 month old puppy that missed his litter. We realized Baxter was smart when he quickly learned to ring a bell to go out to relieve himself, and then... started letting himself out to follow us to work as he learned to open the front door! Baxter lives for fetch. Every morning were awakened by a toy strategically placed in our hands to throw. Hes also become quite the frisbee acrobat, catching his first frisbee on the day Dad proposed to Mom. An active pup, we have to take him running him twice a day to normalize his energy level. After fetch, Baxters second love is chicken liver. In particular, his favorite meal is the chopped liver from Wise Sons Jewish Deli. We think Baxter is quite the mensch and cant imagine our lives without him!
