Say what you want about theistic morality systems like Christianity, but their authority to enforce compliance with their precepts derive exactly from the super-nature of their deity. Believers conduct, on a mass scale, are controlled by the reward of a heaven or the punishment of a hell which exist outside of nature. Sure, atheistic morality works perfectly well for the individual, mainly because its a conscious choice by the individual to live his/her life in a good way. But without the mystique of magic dressed up as omnipotence, omniscience and eternity could an atheistic morality be successful on a global scale?
