Say youre on a hike with a group of friends and your goal is to reach a place called Nirvana. Say the group leader wants to go down a path that youre sure wont get you there. Say youre sure the path the group leader wants to take is actually going to lead the group away from Nirvana into the pits of destruction. Dont you have an obligation to speak up? Wouldnt it be absurd to accuse you of being anti the group when youre only trying to keep it safe and on track? Well this is how I feel when it comes to Israel and how it handles Palestenian civilians. I am firmly pro Israel. I want Israel to be safe and secure. Yet, I have become convinced that, in the long term, how Israel handles Palestinian civilians is making it less safe and less secure. Its maddening in the extreme that people see this as a pro Hamas attitude or an anti lsrael position.
