Saying Good-bye to a neighbor! Preston Wolfe Obituary Preston Pridgen Wolfe Sr. Fort Gratiot Preston Pridgen Wolfe Sr., 90, of Fort Gratiot, died Saturday, March 22, 2014. He was born June 24, 1923 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to the late Edward and Jennie Wolfe. He married Celestina Dorothy Annaert on May 8, 1950 and she preceded him in death on May 28, 1974. He married Phyllis M. Hilliker on May 14, 1994. Mr. Wolfe worked for E.F. Houserman and after his retirement was a locksmith, carpenter, and handyman. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church where he served in many roles over the years including maintenance and head usher. He was also a member and former Commander of V.F.W. Charles Schoor Post #796. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; three children, Celestine Dorothy (Bob) Plath, Charla (Larry) Giles, and Preston P. (Lorry) Wolfe Jr.; step-children, Krystal Whiteside and Samuel (Dawn) Schlimpf; daughter-in-law, Darlene Wolfe; son-in-law, John Cedar; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three children, Dale Wolfe, Jenny Gatley, and Peggy Cedar; a step-daughter, Sherry Schlimpf; two sisters; and one brother. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014 in Lighthouse Baptist Church, 5879 State Road, Fort Gratiot, with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Ron Schultz will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army.
