Saying goodbye to a loved one is always hard. There are parts of a funeral which are harder to take than others. The roller coaster of emotions certainly takes its toll. Today we said goodbye to Raes Aunty Beth. She was quite an amazing woman. The highlight of the day for me, was when I used my super powers of communication to help ease the pain of grief. We were preparing to go to the viewing to see Raes Aunt, and her other Aunt said she didnt want to go. I simply enquired why, and she said she didnt like the way Beth had looked the other night when she died. Knowing a bit about death (20 years of nursing, an Aunt in the industry and deaths of loved ones) I went through the benefits of her seeing her sister at the viewing when she is peaceful and with make up on. Then I worked through any objections she had, all the while being respectful of her grieving process. With some trepidation, she agreed and we all went to the viewing together. As she walked up to the casket and peered inside, you could feel the sense of relief flow through her because she now had a much nicer memory to think of. It was an amazing gift to give someone and I was so proud to use my powers for good. She was so appreciative and grateful. It was great to be of service
