These lies are similar to Hadith 13 in that they are both detrimental to the Islamic Brotherhood and Sisterhood. They enhance a feeling of disharmony, disrespect and distrust between men and women. The great contributions made by women towards the spread of Islam are sufficient to refute this Hadith. Thus, the first person to take Shahada was a women, Khadijah (radiyAllahuanha) the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ). The first Martyr in Islam was a women Sumayya (radiyAllahuanha), not to mention the countless Women Scholars in our History.
