Says I had a lovely sleep last night 😀 Joined the free guided tour, 2.5 hours. Meet up with the others (aussies) i came down from Brasov with on the tour! Its a really good way to get orientated in the city (when you havent managed to pick up a map!) And takes you round the main tourist sights. The guide was very informative. After the tour, went and had lunch at the Caru Cu Bere with the aussies. Really great lunch menu. Fabulous building inside. Might end up there for lunch tomorrow. Then we parted company. Walked around a bit. Walked down to the Palace of the Parliament. It is second in size to the pentagon as, er, administrative buildings. And it is really rather huge! Beautiful though. See the photo from my foursquare checkin somewhere below. Spent about an hour in Izvor park which is right beside, then wandered back to my accommodation. Dont know what Im doing tomorrow. Bucharest really isnt the height of the tourist trail. It is a much nicer city than i was lead to believe so possibly some random walking around, sitting in a park, buy a bus ticket.....
