Scam Alert: Today, I received a very official looking email from someone at an Indian NGO titled India International Friendship Society which purports to promote excellence of Indians abroad and at home, and they claim to have been considering me for a glory of India award. I became suspicious and googled it. Turns out this is a scam. They will eventually ask for INR 12,500 (about 200 USD) before you get the award in some gala event in New Delhi. Here is the content of the letter I received, and many of you might get the same.
