Scan results are back, but they are not what we expected. Laras Oncologist rang to say there is something in the 4th ventricle (below the previous tumor site) that wasnt seen at the time of surgery. This means she will most likely require further treatment. What this actually is and what treatment is required wont be determined until shes had another scan (this week or next week) and her case has been discussed at the Multi Disciplinary Team Meeting on Friday morning. She is still has the headaches, which are getting slightly worse, and her blood sugar levels have been elevated. All of these symptoms could be due to any number of causes, especially given the complexity of her various medical conditions. Obviously we are hoping for the best, but in the meantime, we are playing the waiting game again.
