Scanning... Ive been trying different labs and am confused with the results. The cheap, local lab that takes several weeks (!) has been the most reliable. A popular, more expensive local lab has had glitches, the files are small for the price and when they develop my film, there are often spots of crud and even globs of stuff on the negs (!). I tried another one -- popular, expensive and highly recommended online -- and some of the scans are awful to my eye with black spots in many areas (like artifacts) like the whites of the eyes and blobby areas in the highlights. Is this normal? I like to think it isnt...
