Scary stuff! The regulations on the production of treats is not the same as pet food. Treats are much more likely to have contamination as companies are not required to test and monitor their production. It is much safer (and healthier for your pet) to just avoid most treats altogether, as treats are not necessary in your pets diet just like candy is not necessary in our diets.
