Scattered around the newsfeed are reports of bad service in our restaurants (and the usual tricycle and taxi pricing which has been over discussed but undersolved). Blame it on poor planning and lack of anticipation of a sudden spike in tourism and usual uwian sa probinsiya with Albay getting much of recent media attention. Instead of benefiting from a demand surge, our restaurants instead gain a bad image. The real reasons are practical and technical- 1. lack of waiters (naguruli) 2. lack of cooks (nagbakasyon) 3. lack of raw material/inputs (kulang su sinaud). In reality, these are poor excuses but they could have anticipated and worked on these.
