Scattered my beloved German Shepherd Phoebes ashes today, in her favourite field, and read her a poem. She had over thirteen happy years and was the gentlest soul - unless you were misfortunate enough to have been born a rabbit! We get so attached to dogs - I guess in part because they give us such unconditional love. I always joke that if you go out and murder someone and then come back home, if you have a cat it will stare at you, knowing youve done it.... but if you have a dog it will still jump up and lick you! Phoebe was beautiful inside and out, and I will miss her always. RIP you beautiful creature.
