Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon, mainly across south central South Dakota into the Highway 14 corridor, although more isolated activity will be possible elsewhere. Activity will become more widespread this evening and track southeast through the area. A few severe storms will be possible, mainly this afternoon and evening in south central South Dakota and near Highway 14, with hail to golf ball size and gusts to 65 mph as the main threat. Locally heavy rainfall under storms could bring additional flash flooding threat. A low threat for tornadoes exists in south central South Dakota. Rain will end from northwest to southeast on Saturday morning.
