Scattered showers & storms in the forecast through Tuesday - TopicsExpress

Scattered showers & storms in the forecast through Tuesday AM. A cluster of storms in the Trans-Pecos region is riding the upper level winds into South Texas tonight (see radar loop from late Sun afternoon here: is.gd/AlUt0D ). These storms SHOULD fall apart as they reach the San Antonio metro area. However, more storms are likely to develop in West Texas and move through the northern Hill Country overnight. Hearing a few rumbles of thunder in San Antonio tonight isnt likely, but isnt out of the question either. Monday morning will see lots of clouds, and some patchy drizzle, a long with a few showers - especially along the Balcones Escarpment (see map here is.gd/2h5waq). Precipitation should subside until the afternoon heating of the day destabilizes the atmosphere over South Texas out ahead of a front that will be dropping down out of the Rockies tonight. A few scattered storms should pop up, and some storms could be severe. The front will pass through San Antonio overnight Monday night/Tuesday am, with scattered strong/severe thunderstorms, and rain heavy enough in some spots that pockets of flash flooding will also be a concern. Storms could linger as late as the morning rush in San Antonio before giving way to sunshine and slightly lower humidity for the remainder of the day on Tuesday. Wednesday should see lots of sun, with temperatures/humidity near seasonal averages. Low/high Mon: 76°/92° Low/high Tue: 72°/92° Low/high Wed: 73°/93° #TXwx #SATwx
