Scattered showers will continue over Southern California through Saturday with clearing skies over the central part of the state. Additional rainfall will be under a quarter inch outside the mountains and deserts but significant snow will be possible over the desert side of the local mountains. Gusty north winds over 40 mph will be possible in the passes and in the Owens Valley and Sierras. Temperatures will be well below normal through Saturday, but warmer and drier weather will return Sunday through next Wednesday.
