Scenario: In Columbia, SC a black man pulls up to the gas station. A SC state trooper pulls in behind him with no sirens running. As soon as the black man gets out of his car, the state trooper asks for his license and registration. The black man goes back into his car to get the license and registration and the state trooper draws his weapon and says, Get out of the car, get out of the car! Before the trooper finishes his statement he fires his weapon twice. The black mans wallet flies in the air as he is startled. The black man steps away from his vehicle with both hands in the air and the trooper fires two more shots while telling him to, Get on the ground! I mean no offense, but I am convinced that there is a plot to eradicate and exterminate black men by some Caucasian officers in law enforcement. This type of scenario is happening far too often in recent months to call it isolated and I am DISGUSTED with it! We are unjustly profiled, negatively stereotyped, and hypothetically generalized and this pervades the infinitesimal mindsets of some white officers we have given badges and guns to who are called to protect and serve all of our communities, not just their own. I am TIRED people and I pray that you are TIRED of this as well. This should not happen at all; however, it continues to happen to black men in America everyday and you wonder why we are mad, upset, and irate. Forgive this preacher, but this has to STOP!!!
