Scene: At 9:30 this morning I was butt naked (or is it buck naked?!) about to step into the shower. I wanted to be ready when the service guy came to install my dishwasher. He told me he planned to get here before noon when I talked to him last night. I took that to mean Shortly Before Noon, If Not After. As I opened my shower door, I heard the rumble of a big truck. It didnt register at first because the UPS truck seems to be in the hood a few times a day. But then I had a wait a second voice in my head. It sounded like the truck stopped near here. Went to the window (still butt / buck naked) and peeked through the blinds. The big truck was in front of my house. It was my dishwasher guy. MOTHER CLUCKER! I turned off the water, threw some clothes on, and looked at myself in the mirror. Hot mess would be accurate. Perfect. I went downstairs and opened the door just happy that I had brushed my teeth so I wasnt also greeting him with snaggletooth breath in addition to my less-than-put-together appearance. So, lets just note--the delivery guy always seems to arrive either at the very end of the 40-hour window he gives or is running behind. UNLESS youre me and butt / buck naked about to shower.
