In Dr. Stiglitz’s lecture, entitled Global Financial Contagion, he gave his view on the role ideology played in the 2008 Global Financial Crisis. On my last Saturday in Melbourne, I went to see Cameron Mackintosh’s critically acclaimed version of the classic musical, Les Miserables. This was my first musical and one I won’t soon forget! Departing Sydney in mid-morning, I saw my second sunset of the day while crossing the Pacific and chased another sunrise for the remaining hours of the flight to L.A. By the end of the day, I had been to five airports on four planes and traversed ten time zones – a small price to pay, however, for the trip of a lifetime!! :)
