Scholarship Announcement for Native Burmese Student Applicants to the University of the People The Krüger Foundation announced a USD 40,000 scholarship program for Burmese students applying to study at the University of the People (UoPeople). The grant provides ten full scholarships for promising students who come from and are resident in Myanmar to study at a leading online university based in the United States. High school graduates in Myanmar are invited to apply for the Krüger Myanmar Scholarship Program, which covers the costs of a four-year Bachelor’s course in either Business Administration or Computer Science. The application process consists of two parts, including: Part 1 takes place online and requires the applicant to fill out personal information and respond to essay questions. You can login and complete the UoPeople online application at your own pace; and Part 2 takes place offline, and consists of sending all of the required documents to UoPeople Office of Admissions by post. Required documentation includes a signed cover sheet; a high school diploma and a high school transcript, which must be submitted in the applicant’s original language with an accompanying translation if the documents are not already in English; and an English Proficiency document. Computer Science applicants are required to submit one or more of the following qualifications: example of a strong mathematics preparation in high school, prior college-level course work in mathematics and/or in computer science, and work-related experience in either math or computer science. Broadband internet access is not required in order to study at the University of the People. Students will, however, need internet access on a regular basis. Start your application process here.
