Scholarships *If you are planning on attending the McCurtain County campus, you are eligible for EOSC scholarships. Go to the EOSC website for an application. They are due in Wilburton on February 21. *The 4-Way Pest Control, Inc. Scholarship Application is available due by March 28. *For information about the Tylenol Scholarship, go to tylenol/news/scholarship. *SE Live will be February 5. Register at se.edu/future-students/visit/selive/ if you plan to attend. *SOSU Honors Program and PLC applications must be submitted by January 31. *If you are Native American and are planning on a medical degree, visit ihs.gov for scholarship information. The deadline to apply is March 28, but this is a lengthy process. *Please be aware that several of the listed scholarships require letters of recommendation. Do not wait until the last minute to ask for these letters. *The John W. and Mary D. Nichols Scholarship for students with outstanding knowledge and appreciation of Oklahoma History are due February 28. This is a $10,000 scholarship. The application is located at oklahomaheritage. *The Oklahoma Heritage Association Scholarship Competition Information is available at oklahomaheritage. You have to take a test on Saturday, April 5, to be eligible for this scholarship, and you must be registered by March 20. *Remember: There are some substantial scholarships available at occf.org. You should apply for these ASAP, as many of them have upcoming deadlines. The Hal Almen is due February 28, and the Carolyn Watson Opportunities is due March 1. *The GPACAC scholarship application is now available at gpacac.net. You must have a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and an ACT score of 21-28 to qualify. The deadline is February 1. The Paul Max Service Scholarship deadline is March 1 and available on the same website. You have to have a GPA of 2.75-3.5 to apply. *Information on the Buick Achievers Scholarship Program can be found at buickachievers. You can receive up to $100,000 in scholarships. The deadline to apply is February 28. *The CASC Scholarship application deadline is February 14. *If one of your parents has a disability, you will be eligible for the “Through the Looking Glass Scholarship.” The application can be found at lookingglass.org and all materials must be postmarked by March 17. *The Jimmie Dean scholarship application is available on jimmiedeanfoundation.org. The deadline is April 30. This is for Oklahoma students only, so apply. *The Wal-Mart Associates/Dependents Scholarships are available online. Just Google “Wal-Mart Associates Scholarship”). You can apply for the Associates scholarship after February 1st. The deadline is March 3rd. The deadline for the Dependents Scholarship is March 14th. *The Sam Noble Scholarships for students majoring in agriculture or technology are now available. Go to noble.org to get the application. The deadline for this scholarship is February 15. You can’t wait until the last minute on this scholarship; if you are eligible, contact them for an application NOW! *You may be eligible for the American Legion scholarships. Go to legion.org/needalift for more information. *You can access the Learning Express ACT practice online at oklibrary.net. (This is the public library’s website.) This site has ASVAB practice as well. It is from this site that you can also receive free online tutoring each day from 2pm to 9pm. These services are completely free. *If you are interested in an apprenticeship opportunity in plumbing, pipefitting, or HVAC/REF, go to tulsapipetrades. *The application for the Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program can be found at abbottandfenner/scholarships.htm. The deadline to apply is June 14. *The Al’s Formal Wear scholarship applications are available at alsformalwear/SchoolApp. The applications are accepted through May 31. *If you have a physical, mental, or visual disability that keeps you from working, please contact Mrs. Bible for the initial paperwork for Vocational Rehabilitation. *Visit fastweb for a large listing of scholarships. McAlister Scottish Rite Scholarship due April 1st – we have had students receive this scholarship – APPLY!
