School Development Day - 28th November 2014 On Friday we had our first ever School Development Day. Our staff travelled from all corners of the State to meet and begin working to make Tuart Rise Primary School a fantastic school. The aims of the day were to: 1. develop shared understandings about our expectations of students 2. develop shared understandings about our expectations of staff 3. Meet and begin the process of becoming an effective professional learning community Some of you may have seen us playing with a variety of loose materials in the Early Childhood area. This session was run by an Occupational Therapist and taught us the importance of play and risk taking for children in developing communication, social and problem solving skills, and also in facilitating creativity, physical development and resilience. These materials, and more,will be available for students (K-6) to play with next year.
