School Resource Officer Program Sheriff Kersey is committed to the safety of our community’s youth and that is why the Scotland County Sheriff Office participates in the School Resource Officer Program. The SRO Program is a collaborative effort by certified law enforcement officers, educators, students, parents, and the community to offer law related educational programs in the schools in an effort to reduce crime, drug abuse, violence, and provide a safe school environment. Today Sheriff Kersey had the honor and privilege to be a part of presenting approximately 70 students at South Scotland School their GREAT certificates. Lt.
