Al schools should ensure that information is readily available to parents about supports in school and how they will facilitate access to the curriculum in line with the students learning needs. Schools should provide information to parents on how the staged process of assessment, intervention and review works in their school. This will help inform parents decisions about the on going placement of their child with special educational needs. In summary schools should ensure that they have :- A flexible enrolment policy which enables early planning for students, advised the parents of the nature of any documentation requires such as assessment or medical reports, arranged for teacher training if particular interventions are required. Applied for additional teaching/ SNA, applied for assistive technology, applied for special transport arrangements, consulted with the NEPs psychologist when a change of placement is being considered.
