Schoolwide Day of Service April 2, 2014 On Wednesday, April 2nd Holy Family is excited to announce it will hold its first ever school wide Service Day. This gives the faculty, staff and students a great opportunity to do some very meaningful volunteer work in lieu of attending classes that day. Faculty, staff and students will be assigned a volunteer project or agency to help at on this day. In addition, as part of this day of service, and since we will not be in the building, the Archidocese of Denver will be using Holy Family High School as their location for their annual Chastity Rally. Over 800 eighth graders from around the Archdiocese will be in attendance. The logistics of the Service Day are as follows: • Juniors and Seniors will be serving in local community agencies and Holy Family will provide bus transportation. Holy Family Staff members will be the chaperones at these agencies. • Sophomores will HAVE THE DAY OFF since they have recently done a service day as part of their Sophomore Retreat • Freshmen are being asked to do a service project at home or for family members on the day of the Service Day. Freshmen students will be completing a project proposal as part of their Theology Class this week. SERVICE DAY SCHEDULE FOR JUNIORS AND SENIORS: Juniors-Meet in the Theater at 8:00am. Return to HF by 12:00pm Seniors-Meet in the Theater at 10:30am. Return to HF by 2:30pm **Please make arrangements to pick up your juniors or seniors at their return time. We are hopeful that this day is a meaningful experience for all.
