Schraders out of Götzis, by Alfons Juck, EME News BERLIN (GER): World decathlon silver medallist Michael Schrader of Germany has withdrawn from Götzis due to a recurring knee problem, report focus.de. The 26 year old explained, “It is a bitter blow for me to be thwarted so close to the start of the season. Participation in these circumstances is simply too risky.” He is undergoing treatment from the well renowned Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt. He plans to compete at Ratingen meet later in June where he will try to qualify for the European championships.
