Science is not a thing, it is a process that is run by people. BIASED people. This is a perfect example: At first reluctant to publish these results because they were preliminary and might discourage pregnant women from accepting medically necessary ultrasounds (the mice studies are part of a years-long double-blind experiment that is testing the effects of ultrasound on primate brains), Rakic (the studys author) decided the findings were too significant to ignore and concluded that all non-medical use of ultrasound on pregnant women should be avoided. Do you see the problem here? Reluctant to publish scientific findings from a scientific study due to personal beliefs about the validity and necessity of prenatal ultrasounds. The people funding the science, performing the scientific studies, the ones submitting the scientific results, those who choose to publish the scientific data, and those who eventually write the commentary on the science, are all making PERSONAL inferences and guide their consequent actions based on their beliefs. THAT is far from SCIENTIFIC. How much world shifting, life saving, quality of life impacting SCIENCE has been withheld at any point in this process due to BELIEF BIAS??????? Answer: TONS. More has been withheld than released. YOU must LEARN how to read, evaluate, and interpret the information out there YOURSELF or have a TRUSTED health adviser who is looking beyond the status quo BIASED, WARPED, MANIPULATED process and can help make sense of this SENSELESS process.
