Scotland is ready to receive wounded from Gaza London 19-7-2014-Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Government of Scotland Hamza Yusuf that Scotland is ready to receive wounded Palestinians from Gaza, and called on the United Kingdom to work to ease the crisis in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories. He said in a statement published by the Government on its website to begin the ground assault is a serious development and a cause for concern, and that the lives lost in this conflict is a human tragedy, and completely must be condemned. Yusuf called the complete cessation of all acts of violence, and said we join the international community for immediate ceasefire in the long term . It said the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza has been documented by the United Nations now estimates that more than 18,000 Palestinians from Gaza have been displaced internally. The Scottish Government also stressed that the continued blockade of Gaza increases the suffering of the people there and that the policies pursued by Israel is a form of collective punishment. Yusuf said it is necessary to allow the United Nations to investigate independently all civilian deaths to determine if there is any violation of international law . He stressed that the Government in dialogue with Governments and other relevant agencies to study the possibility of providing specialized medical assistance to Palestinian civilians. He wrote recently to the Government of the United Kingdom Joseph to exert more pressure on Israel to end the blockade.
