Scots Movie Review Exodus What I liked: 1. Great acting and amazing cast. 2. Visual effects where incredible. Not impressed with 3d, but I never am. Seems like a great way to get more money from me. 3. Loved how they did the plagues. It kind of made sense, and I could see how each plague built on the next. 4. Loved moses and the kings relationship, and their interaction. 5. Story was good for about 3/4ths of the movie. What I did not like. 1. People who wrote it didnt read the bible. 2. The whole burning bush seen in the bible is a great story. The conversation is epic. Why change it? It was literally a huge let down. I almost screamed. COME ON!!!! 3. God is not an 8 year old. Hahaha how dumb is this. 4. No throwing down of the staff make a snake? huge let down. That would be so cool. 5. Hahaha moses was not gone 9 years???? Who made up that number? Its like they were pressed for time, the guy is like hey what do I type in. How long was moses gone. Some guy yells out, I think it was like 8 or nine years. Cool, lets do 9. Hahaha 6. Really, God would lead moses as they left egypt. The 9 year old God, was busy, rejected moses. Read your bible. 7. The biggest let down of all, like huge! When you think of moses you always think of???? yes the parting of the red sea. Hahahaha, how do we miss this? I was so excited to see them part that thing, graphically in my mind it was going to be amazing. Nope, there is no parting of the red sea. More of the tide went down, and we waded thru the red sea. It literally makes no sense to me. The story of the cloud between them, the dry land, it closing up on egyptians. What genius said hey lets get rid of the whole parting of the red sea. 8. The end when the rush of water from the storm came, and a hundred foot wave crashed on moses and ramisees, and they both lived. hahaha nope, that is dumb. 9. 8 year old God and moses talk about commandments, and God asking if moses approves of commandments and moses says I wouldnt do it if I didnt agree. It was almost like moses was running the show, God was kind of seeking his approval. Over all it is alot better than noah, but come on. Special effects make it worth seeing at theatre. But even as a fiction, it falls way short as a story. Why not just do the truth, it was alot better story.
