Scottish Womens Convention - Further Devolution Survey The SWC - TopicsExpress

Scottish Womens Convention - Further Devolution Survey The SWC are undertaking a survey on the devolution of further powers to the Scottish Parliament and what that means for women. Following the referendum vote on 18 September 2014, Scotland will remain as part of the United Kingdom with its own Parliament. There is a willingness, shared by all five of Scotland’s political parties, to strengthen the powers of the Scottish Parliament within the UK. On 19 September, Prime Minister David Cameron announced that Lord Smith of Kelvin had agreed to oversee the process to take forward the devolution commitments on further powers for the Scottish Parliament. The Commission is keen to hear from as many people in Scotland as possible and is currently gathering evidence. The SWC wants to ensure that the voices of women are heard as part of this process. As well as completing the survey (available at https://surveymonkey/s/YQVB23V), we would appreciate it if you could send the link through your networks. If you have any queries about the survey please do not hesitate to contact me.
