#ScottishIndependence is a touchy subject, but as usual, John Oliver sums it up nicely. Honestly, I like the idea of an independent Scotland (its a wonderful place full of great people) but there are a number of serious economic hurdles that would need to be addressed. Establishing a new currency is tricky but probably not impossible, but I really wouldnt bank a nascent nationss future on potential oil reserves. Their whisky export business has been going really well, with lots of growth in Asian markets especially, but distilleries dont really hire that many people. Most of the people I met on my recent trip had mixed feelings, where do YOU stand?
