Scottys ALS ice bucket challenge! The purpose of this challenge is to raise awareness and/or to donate to any ALS association. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrigs Disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects motor neurons. Those suffering from ALS lose control of muscles, leading to paralysis and muscle atrophy. ALS is not yet curable and has a life expectancy of only 2-5 years after diagnosis. We hope to change this with awareness, research funding, and support.
