Scout week info (Please wear uniforms for all events): February 18 - All sections Potluck and games night. Beginning at 6:30 in the upper part of Grace United Church, we will feast on a wonderful potluck dinner to celebrate Scouting week and Scouting founder Lord Baden Powells birthday. This is open to the entire family. Just bring something to share, your own plates/utensils/cup. After supper, join the Scouts downstairs for a $0.25 game blitz. All of the games cost a quarter (try to shoot out the candle, bowling, bean bag toss, elastic band guns, etc.) Every turn at a game gets a prize. February 22 - KUB KAR RACES AT THE MALL This is an all sections event that is open to the public, so tell them to come on down and see the fun. We will start at 1pm with the Beavers racing their Beaver buggies, then the Cubs with the Kub Kars, and finally the Scouts with the semi trucks. All of the ribbons/trophies will be handed out at this time for cubs including the winners from the previous meetings races. If you are unable to attend this day, but still want your kar to race, just let the leaders know and your kar will be placed on the track for you as there is not a skills component for this race. February 23 - Grace United Church service with all sections of scouting present for a thank you to our sponsor. This is NOT a way to get anyone to join this faith. We hand out the Sunday pamphlet/missal and great people at the door as well as bringing in the colours (flags). We do this to show the members of the church who they are supporting by giving us use of the building (including the storage room). Please come out in full uniform for 10 am. All family members are welcome to attend. Any questions or concerns regarding this can be made to any of the leaders or to our group commissioner Mark Thorn.
