#ScoutsIE Chief Scout Award Mentor Accreditation Courses 2013 Please find the 2013 schedule of courses, admittedly short notice with respect to the first one, however this is due to the recent availability of a training from Gaisce so apologies there. Dear Fellow Scouter Please find below a schedule of Chief Scout Award Mentor accreditation sessions to be held over the coming months - in support of the Chief Scout Award for the Scout, Venture Scout & Rover Scout Sections. Chief Scout Award Mentors are Scouters who have received specific training to support the Chief Scout Award. Only trained and registered, Chief Scout Award Mentors can sign off on the Scout, Venture Scout and Rover Scout ONE Programme Chief Scout Awards (The training is also useful for those working with Beaver Scouts & Cub Scouts). Please note • Training courses A, B & C listed will be in association with Gaisce (The Presidents Award), i.e. to facilitate those undertaking the Chief Scout Award with a home address in RoI, irrespective of where their Scout Group is situated. • Training course D listed in the drop down menu will be in association with Duke of Edinburgh Award, i.e. to facilitate those undertaking the Chief Scout Award with a home address in NI, irrespective of where their Scout Group is situated. The following dates apply to those who wish to become Chief Scout Award Mentors for youth members with an address in the Republic of Ireland. • Course A Cork, Wednesday 23rd October (18:30 - 21:30, Kilkully) • Course B Galway, 18th November (18:30 - 21:30, City - location TBC) • Course C Dublin, 7th December (09:30 - 13:00, Dublin South - location TBC) The following date applies to those who wish to become Chief Scout Award Mentors for youth members with an address in Northern Ireland. • Course D Belfast, 30th November (09:00 - 16:30, DofE Offices, BT8 6AW) Bookings must be completed using the online application form see below Please Note: 1. The stated fee must be paid in full and in advance of the course in order to secure a booking (The cost per participant is € 20.00 / £ 20.00). 2. Bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable, pending specific acceptance criteria for the National Activity. 3. All National Activities will be treated on a first come first served basis, pending specific acceptance criteria for the National Activity. 4. Subsequent Booking Confirmations and Activity Detail will be communicated by email where appropriate. 5. All Policies of Scouting Ireland must be adhered to; by completing this form you are agreeing to abide by them.
