Scraps.... Packed away the feast from today. Made me think about left overs. Like Ive been reading the Bible for several hours a day for about a year. Ive really come to believe it all. But I dont want to give God my scraps. If I truly believe that the God who created the Universe knows me by name and is working in my life giving him a little of my leftovers seems wrong. I want to sacrifice for him. I want to give him the 1st choice portion , which is his due. Everything he has done for me and continues to do is so heavy. My prayers are being answered. I know its hard to believe but its true. And God deserves the Lion share. Of us, our attention & Minds & heart. Of our finances. not some 2 % you can squeeze out at the end. He doesnt want that. And he only wants what we give joyfully & honestly.I want or to give him so much. He has given me the World. The Word , Life, Saved me from a sick depraved existence. and called me to Him. As his own. He deserves more then scraps. He deserves our very best. Every day. Funny what cleaning off the dinner table can bring up. Scraps.
