Scratching my head. Just seen a flyer for a Tribute Band playing a FREE ENTRY show on New Years Eve!!! Great you may say - sure thing the venue will make a shitload on beer sales and the band for sure aint playing for free, the punters get a free NYE night out but what a kick in the nuts for the hard working Promoters who take all the risk week in and week out. So as we all fade away when we go skint - bands can stop asking for decent gigs or support slots and fans can stop expecting bigger bands to play (as nobody will have money for thier guarantees). Think about it.......
