But he said to them, Unless I see the nail marks in His hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe. 26 A week later His disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, Peace be with you! 27 Then He said to Thomas, Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe. 28 Thomas said to Him, My Lord and my God! JOHN 11:25 25 Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; JOHN 20:13-16 13 They asked her, Woman, why are you crying? They have taken my Lord away, she said, and I don’t know where they have put Him. 14 At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. 15 He asked her, Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for? Thinking He was the gardener, she said, Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have put Him, and I will get Him. 16 Jesus said to her, Mary. She turned toward Him and cried out in Aramaic, Rabboni! (which means Teacher). JOHN 20:29 29 Then Jesus told him, Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. 1 JOHN 3:1 3 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. JOHN 16:33 33 I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. MATTHEW 11:28-30 28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Personal Sermon Notes: -How many of you live in a Saturday State of Mind, between Fridays Death and Sundays Resurrection? -You tell yourself, Unless I see Jesus Christ _______, I wont believe. -Our calendar system is based on Christ; BC (Before Christ) and AD (Anno Domini, Latin for In the year of our Lord.) -in 1947 a boy found evidence in the Qumran Caves - the Dead Sea Scrolls - all predictions/prophecies of Jesus were there, He fulfilled every one of them -James was beheaded, Peter was crucified upside down and John was attempted to be boiled alive, but he lived and was sent to the island of Patmos -Winston Churchill believed in Jesus Christ, he planned his own funeral arrangements and had one bugle play Taps and then another bugle play Reveille on opposite sides of the cathedral (portraying death and resurrection) -the sheep know the voice of their Shepherd JOHN 10:4 4 When He has brought out all His own, He goes on ahead of them, and His sheep follow Him because they know His voice. -the Shepherd knows your name JOHN 10:14 14 I am the Good Shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me *DO YOU HEAR HIM? *YOU HAVE BEEN VALIDATED THROUGH JESUS CHRIST, DEFEATED DEATH AND BEEN RESTORED TO HOPE *YOUR IDENTITY IS NOT YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES IN THIS WORLD! -JESUS CHRIST CALLS YOUR NAME, DO YOU HEAR HIM? -DO YOU HEAR JESUS VOICE? *JUST ABIDE IN HIM - YOU ARE BLESSED FOR BELIEVING!
