Scripture from Luke ch 9 v57-62 opened our family worship this morning. The Band, augmented by visitors from Winton and Govan accompanied the singing of SB679 Be Strong in the Grace of the Lord and, later played I Will Follow You The young people led the prayers before Major Carole made intercession for corps members who are ill, anxious and bereaved. The Singing Co.sang a paraphrase of Zephaniah ch.3 v17 and the Songsters contributed In Jesus Name. Major Carole spoke about Moses being asked by God what he had in his hand. A thought-provoking talk, which took account of the young people who remained throughout the worship, followed and we were asked to consider what we each bring to God for him to use. Song 474 All to Jesus I Surrender gave an opportunity for prayer and rededication at the mercy seat and our worship ended with SB 734 Ill Go in the Strength of the Lord and a Benediction.
