Scrolling down my timeline feeling really disappointed seeing all these posts reading 4th of July is a stupid Holiday or today is just another day. You people must not understand the significance of this Holiday. Independence Day is a federal holiday commemorating July 4, 1776, the day our countrys founders declared independence from Great Britain, which meant we would no longer follow the orders of Britain.. Hence, the Revolutionary war. Which is why today America is able to govern itself. Our flag represents our independence. being in this country we have certain rights and freedoms. In countries like China most people share a common culture (communist dictatorship) but in America, what people share is a common idea that people should have the FREEDOM to live the way they desire, and to work and earn money the best way they can. So maybe to you, today might just be another day but people fight everyday to maintain independence for this country you call home. People have died fighting for this country that you have the honor to reside. Have some respect.
