Sean and I were invited to the Society of Critical Care Medicine National committee meeting in Phoenix, AZ this January where we will be recognized together with the National trauma, critical care committee board, my SICU nurse coordinator, and some of my medical team as a case of when some of the worse case scenarios happen with severe traumas how a wrap around approach of care CAN SOMETIMES really work when multiple parts of a medical system work as a TEAM. I was honored to be brought back and live this life a few more years. One thing I have learned through this trauma, is that when we learn how to die- we learn how to live. The formal letter came through this weekend and Im just sitting here to read it thoroughly and take in the magnitude of this beautiful opportunity.
