Sean’s Morning Meds; Praise the living God because He’s awesome. Wow! Can’t believe next month if God’s will, I’ll celebrate another (sobriety) anniversary. Just text a friend who’s also celebrating this month an anniversary. And this person and I use to be out there together and once this person had cleaned up it inspired me to do the same. As I look back on this journey I just thank my higher power (Christ) who delivered me and so many others from a living hell. And even on this journey of sobriety I had some moments where the disease of addiction tried to get me back out there but thanks to a loving God and my brothers and sisters in recovery, I’m still standing. I realize that anything worth have is worth fighting for and I’m so glad that I learned to surrender to this disease by throwing up the white flag saying, “You won.” When I let go and let God, everything started coming together for me. And as long as I have been living I never seen a physical person beat up a spirit. I had to get in to the spiritual arena to put the disease of addiction under submission. Don’t get it twisted, I know it’s still out there but here’s the deal, I got a God that’s bigger than any of my problems. I got friends in my home group who really has blessed me with the knowledge and wisdom of staying sober. But it is just an awesome feeling to look back and to see where God has brought me from. And all glory goes to Him who’s able to keep you from falling. Special shout out to my home group members you no who you are and my sponsor, Big Rocky. In closing just want to say may the good Lord keep you and bless you.
