We remember these stories because we all have those moments when we are searching for home. Maybe it is a new apartment or house, maybe a family, maybe a new job. God has adopted us as his children. We don’t ever need to feel alone or afraid. God loves us and wants a relationship with us. Many of us are searching for home. Leah has been searching for home—In India? with her parents? With her grandmother? Muchos de nosotros estan buscando el hogar. When Leah was flying up to be by the side of her grandfather as he was dying, she felt the Spirit leading her in a new direction. She was being called to move north and take care of her grandmother. When Dave picked her up at the airport and they had dinner together, he told her he had the idea that she could move to Seattle and be a companion to gramma Lois. She shared that she was already feeling called to help her grandmother. Leah has her spiritual home to guide her. She has Heard God’s message in the scriptures. That she is God’s child, loved just as any parent loves their child. And she is able to hear the gentle touch of God providing direction for her life. But he will tell you that he found God for the first time when he was in jail for three weeks. God has been guiding him as he decides his future. God is his spiritual parent who walks with him wherever he goes. Esteban ha estado en el exilio al igual que los hijos de Israel en la esclavitud con una pulsera GPS. Today I want to give us time to spend with God, our spiritual parent, for God promises us a home that is eternal. Wherever you are, traveling between many homes, lost in the forest of life, living in a strange land, captive to the problems of this world, captive to the many material things that promise us happiness. God is there waiting,, waiting for a relationship with you. Hoy estamos aquí porque hemos sentido el toque de Dios en nuestras vidas.
